help my people are dying for want of water - are there any water spells that anyone has found? Or do I have to stuff them full of mana, strength, and health potions until I find somewhere> I really don't want to have to go back several levels. thanks in advance folks.

No water spells, mana => stamina potiosn is the key, making sure they are overloaded on food is a good idea or else they could die from lack of both

What level are you on?

There no susternance spells. There are only three possibilities to get water:

1) You drink directly from a wall fountain with your party leader (which you determine by left-clicking on the character's name which is marked yellow then). I'm not sure whether all DM version have this feature.

2) Store 1 big sip of water in a previous empty flask by clicking it upon a wall fountain, then drink it by clicking it on a character's mouth.

3) Storing 3 little sips of water in a waterskin by clicking it upon a wall fountain and then drinking a sip from it by clicking it upon a characters mouth.

There are some levels, like the worm level or the void which do not have sufficient water supply. To survive them, especially if you do not yet know them good enough to quickly rush through, you have to stockpile water in every waterskin and flask available. If you have run out of water and are close to dying from thirst, but still far from passing to the next level, you will have to go back to the last fountain.
If you have run out of water, you may keep your party alive (and train your priests) by creating lots of strong Ma-potions to replace stamina lost due to thirst by making use of the spell Ya (first syllable of the runes appearing after choosing a power rune), until you get some water again. If you are sustaining your party by Ma-potions it'd be good if all the characters had at least enough food and were not overloaded (character's load being white, not yellow or even red) so they stamina loss does not further increase.
