All my Quetions (as of now)

Okay, by reading through the posts I have learned the answer to one of my questions, now for the rest:

1. Can I have a mix team between DM and CSG when I bring my team over from my DM save or do I have to pick one over the other?

2. I understand that heavier armor is better, but what about weapons? How do I tell which are better?

3. What's the difference between Ninja and Fighter? I can clearly see the difference between Mage and Cleric but I don't get Ninja and Fighter.

4. What all stats do what?

5. I'm kinda new and yet familiar to DM and CSG, what is a monster generater and what does it do?

6. Should I worry about monster generators?

7. How exactly do I defeat chaos if he can teleport away?

8. What exctly does the invisibilty spell do?

9. Can ZoKathRa be used as an attack spell?

10. How long does it normally take (training wise) to raise a level?

11. How much experience do I gain for stuff?

Thnx in advance for any help you guys can give me.

1. No in normal DM/CSB, yes in RTC
2. Use them, really. Rain's tool shows stats from monsters to weapons to armours. There's a guidebook for DM on these pages that show weapon stats for defense and attack.
3. Fighters good with melee weapons, ninjas good and unarmed combat, 'elegant' weapons and missile wepaons. Personally I've always thoguht of ninja as a back-up class, but some peopel have had great fun using a ninja.
4. See theother post on this thread. Try using DMute and altering stats yourself too. No one definitely knows, really. Except maybe people who have read the CSB For Windows code. And even then its been hard to read.
5. Generate monsters. Seriously, its an invisible floor pad that, when activated, generates a monster (which is why you can lkeave an area and come back to find it stocked.) Knowing they exist spoils the game a little bit, becuase then you realise monsters can spring up if you step on a certain floor tile. So (6) yes, be aware of them if you think you've found on and its trigger.
7. It's not all the time, only when he's cornered. Just be fast.
8. See other thread.
9. Not really, unless you throw it at creatures. But it's just n.e.other object as fasr as the engine is concerned.
10. Factors are a) what level? Beginning levels take a shorter time - experience required is exponential, b) what dungeon level you are on...different levels give higher weight to your experience. So learning on the last dragon level so much faster than the hall of champions - but by the time you get there that's balanced by you needing alot more experience. c) what you are doing, and when - attackign the air gives you less experience than attackign a monster, for example.
11. There is a variant of CSB Four Windows on these pages called CSB++ - one of it's fucntions you can switch on is the experience tracker. So you can see what you earn for what. If i rmemeber values for 'good' attacks and spells were between 25 and 125 or soemhting.

Maybe a small addition to illustrate a point: if you want to see what a monster generator can do to you, try the (older) version of Imprisoned again (to be found in the upload dungeon area - otherwise send me an email and I can mail it to you) and remember your question if you should beware them when you find the "matrix" on one of the top levels.... I think it should give you a perfectly clear answer ;)

LOl, yes, sometimes be aware, sometimes beware, and other times just run the other way
Forget imprisoned again, you should try sphenx's dungeon, that got CROWDED in the main room by the end! Constant stream of knights and golems with some mummies screamers and trolins to break the monotiny : )
