Hello all!

Does something like a list of weapons and armor exist which also includes damage/armorstrenght? would be great to have such thing.

Well, my friend, a list certainly exists.

The Dungeon Master/CSB Enclyclopaedia has lists of all
these items. CSB for Windows will produce a list of
all the items if you select "ASCII DUMP". The Ascii
dump will include all the information that exists.
Unfortunately, it has not been fully decoded. If there
is anyone who can decode some of this stuff, I will add
it to the ASCII DUMP capability. Each of what is now a
single line in the dump should eventually be expanded to
a short paragraph. But I have not the energy to figure
it out.

I think it is relatively complicated. It ain't just
'damange' or 'strength'. Weapon results, for example,
depend on the values of the character's skills and there
are many more than are shown on the inventory screen (Strength,
Wisdom, etc.) I think there are about 20 of them. Having
a rabbit's foot can help. And so on and so on and so on.

If anyone wants to do some decoding, he will need the source
code. And I can help point the way into that code. But
remember, I did not write it, I copied it into a
different language. It is still a wilderness.

can you give a direkt url to a list in which also some attributes of the weapons are shown?
the list on this site is nice but it doesnt contain specific damage/armorclass and stuff.

i know that damage done and a lot of other stuff depend on characteristics of your champions but their must be some basic values for the items and iam really interested in that. i have for example no idea if a "sword" or a "rapier" is the better weapon or perhaps one is a better weapon for someone with higher dex and the other one for another person with higher strength.

I am sorry, but I cannot do that. Here is what I know of the

the information is all here but not decoded. I hoped that
some clever person with a lot of time on their hands
could figure it out. I think the Encyclopaedia lists
the possible attacks for each weapon.
