A little information about the "no creature" scrol

I love the site, shrine to one of my all time favorites.

When discussing the difference between Amiga and ST versions the following is mentioned

At (04,21,21), there is no scroll. In the Amiga version, there is a scroll with reading "No creature".

This is a magic scroll that reads the name of the creature directly in front of the party in text. If you stand in front of a giggler for instance it will read giggler. If there is noting in front of the party it reads no creature.

Finally, somebody has actually clarified this - I always thought it was a red herring, not realising how to use it.

This was raised on the RTC forum, but in the conversation that resulted, no-body actually said how to use it. Thanks for telling me! :-)

Well for monster detection you use your magic map with a ku map spell (if i remember correctly, it has been a LONG time), this is strictly for color, giving names to what you fight.
