DMII WONT RUN!

I finally downloaded the .zip file, unzipped it but when I try to execute SETUP.EXE it just says it's finished.
Then when I try to run DM2.BAT the screen goes blank, I get the Interplay logo and then the screen reverts back to a window with the message "Bye!".
What's going on and what do I do about it?
...I was really looking forward to playing it too...

It's okay.
I finally (somehow) got it to work ok.
I downloaded the patch, and ran from re-starting in MS-DOS mode.

I got the same problem,
I unzipped dmII and dmIIpatch over it
but it doesn't run even in dos mode.
Help me please
my gonfig is PIII 800/133
GeForce 256ddr
256mb RAM
HD ata100 30gb
ZIP 250 eide/int

This could possibly be due to a conflict with your DOS version. DMII, for me, only works on my older P166+ system. Haven't yet got it to work on my new system with similar specs to yours. Haven't tried the patch yet though.

I have the same problem, why don't you try booting to ms-dos and running setup there. The setup works in ms-dos for me, but when I run dm2.bat, it says can't find hardware. The game plays, but it has no sound or music.
