Having trouble running the PC version of Dungeon M

Post by lazygamer »

Im having trouble running the PC version of DM2. It ran ok on my 486/50 and P200 in the past, but on my newer system it has trouble.

My specs:

Celeron 433
Voodoo 3 2000 PCI
Soundblaster 128
Windows 98

I can't run it in windows. When I run it in DOS, my system reboots. The sound setup works fine. Im guessing the problem is that my system is quite moderen, so that's why im having trouble.

I've also sent an e-mail to Interplay tech support about this. I wonder if they'll give a crap about their older games. After all they no longer have their old games mentioned on their website.

I played it fine on my old Athlon-K6 300Mhz, Soundblaster PCI64, Windows 98 machine (with really rubbish 3D card). I haven't tried it on my current machine. I honestly don't see why it's rebooting to be honest. Have you tried running the game with no sound?

Yep I have. But not to worry I can always play it on my P200.

Use these Config.sys and Autoexec.bat files and you should get some results. (*Note) backup your originals first!!!
**Also make sure you've got CTMOUSE.COM on your system**
