Well let's make this fast, slay the axemen. Take the axes.

Don't sell them in the nearby shop, sell them in the first village (starting one).

CAUSE: You get a green gem for axe in the starting village and just a gold coin in the others (max)

(Looks like another topic for Christophe to add to the FAQ section: what are the best ways to make money...)

easy way to get money (because not every one can sand up to the axe men at the start of the game

goto the first area in the game wher you find a thief ( note: its not the first town) go to his den set put a gard minnon right in front wher he respons, then fill put the screen with grad minons (note start off useing the weakest gard minnon and work your way up) the gard minons will kill the thife over and over agin ( you dont have to watch this if you are useing strong gard minnons you can just contine on with the game that grad minons will just keep killing and killing and killing, when you come back their should be piles of gold and daggers free for the takeing

help full hint for fast nija lv gaining,if you want to work on a pesons nija lv all you have to do is set up a gard minnon stand right in front of it and through a dager at it. the dager will fall right in front of the gard minnon so you dont have to move all you have to to do is pick it up and through it agin and then reapet this for 20-30 min and one of your guys will be a master nija

Hmm, well, if you can't stand up to the Axemen yet, I'm guessing that you also can't make any (worth while) Guard Minions.

"Both your mages"? Keep in mind that not all people will pick magic users for their party. As for the Ninja level up, you can level up the fighter skill the same way.

not realy for fight it takes time to beable to pumch agin b ut all you have to do for ninja all you have to do is set the guy you want to work up as your main char and click on the dagger and the click about 1" above the dager and repeat (and it would be stupid not to have 2 or at lest one mage in your party because you cant atck throught people)

If you have four empty hands then there should always be one that is able to punch. Besides, punches go for Ninja level ups. I was refering to Fighter level ups... cast a Guard Minion and chop away.
I don't think it's stupid to not have any magic users. I play the game all kinds of different ways, sometimes with all Fighters, sometimes with all Wizards, ect. It can make the game slightly more challenging which is good because, in my opinion, DMII is the easiest of the three main Dungeon Master games.

oh well i wasnt saying that you couldnt do it for fighter lvs but it works alot better for ninja lvs because you can trought the knife faster ,then clicking constanyly, and moving your mouse around.(and you kill your gard minnon in two to three hits with wepions, but it takes almost forever if you try and kill the gard minnon just by throughing knifes at it)

Usually around the start of the game, I like to just continually go slay dragons. It builds your levels AND you can sell tons of steak, and start your party off with good equipment. Although you don't get as much $$ for steak as you do with axes, you gotta start somewhere. Once you're at a good point with your party's skills, further your cash flow with the axemen (and use the teleporter to get back to the first village easily).
