Editing characters??

I admit it - I am tired of training my characters manually. DMute allows to edit characters - but not the savegame created by CSB for Windows.
I looked at the ASCII dump, but I can only find info about monsters and such, not about the party.
Any way that I can "train" my characters?
Thanks.

I just ran CSBwin version 9.3. I saved a game named
CSBGame3.dat. DMute loaded it quite successfully.
So I am puzzled that you cannot load your saved game.
I have tried very hard to remain 'standard'. You can
certainly 'break' DMute if you expand the databases but
you are warned about that beforehand. Such games can
still be loaded on the Atari but DMute appears to have a
built-in maximum (or perhaps fixed??) size wired into the
code. Is that what happened?

Which version of DMute did you use? I used 1.3...
Hmm, very odd - I will give it another try.

As DMute can't read dynamically number of objects in a dungeon, I guess it can recognize format of a dungeon only by its size. Then any 'extended CSB save game' or any compressed DMuted dungeons transposed for CSBwin or any DMbuild dungeons are likely to be considered as not valid files by DMute.

Still doesn't answer the original point though...an unmodified CSB save is readable
The mini.dat file you can hack right away, it just only has Halk in it!
bugged portraits loading

Hi
I used CSB4Win 9.4 to create a default game (prison + utility)
I tryed it on Dmute 1.4 in order to alter names, portraits and stats, but
i can't sucessfuly load the portraits. they all appear as random pixel maps (memory dump style), whereas names and stats are ok.
If i save the game from dmute, and reload it into CSB4Win, the portraits are definitively lost for the game too. (whereas they were ok before Dmute)
Where can i find a previous version of Dmute (and less buggish) ?
please answer on my email too.
