Hmmm... love the pic, hate the text. It's too ill defined for my taste. I think it needs to be bolder, cleaner and more 'firey'

Agreed, needs harder edges. Is that SAR upside down there? Personally I would favour GOR this being exclusively a map spell rune

and i agree, i think somehting red a feiry to represent the forge ratehr than the ghostly text...but otherwise cool

make the sky slightly brighter or the tower
(I did not notice it being a sky at the first glimpse,
mistaking the stars as a glow of the text, somehow.
Also the axeblade formed sides would be sth. of the text.
(I looked at it at daylight)
at night the sky is fine but the font´s too bright.
The letters are covering much. Transparency ?
the surrounding of the "space" peering inside the tower needs more texture/opacity to resemble the bricks in the bckgrnd
--> too flat in the upper region; again, it is better when looking at
it at night.
deal with the tip and the right side of the upper part of it .
Personally, I like the font and think it comic style.
Colour giving a contrast to the flames in the lower part.
however there is a three dimensional effect with text /tower.
text should be more flat and on the tower´s wall or sth.

Just for fun:
leave the forge-letters away or move them underground(down) and make eyes between the o and g of the former "forge" placing.--> looking into chaos´face, the tower.
