Hi,

What are the differences between the two DM dungeons in RTC (v. 0.28).
The most obvious one is the restricted availability of runes, should I expect
any other suprises?

You can see the differences by comparing the two text files (compiler input) describing the two version of DM, but PLEASE don't take a look.
The layout and the puzzles are the same and the main difference is the restricted availability of runes along with the spellbook. There is also a small difference for one type of monsters, but I'll let you have the surprise. ...and that's all.
