Floor text creation

Maybe I'm getting rusty (or lazy), but is it possible that once a floor text has been 'activated' from an actuator (or is visible anyway) and so then works when stood on, it can then be 'deactivated' from a trigger etc so when you stand on the text again. nowt appears?

unless i misunderstand, this is how floor texts work anyway...
you can do is place a close floor trigger on the text, so that when it is stood on it is deactivated after the text appears, creating a one time effect.
