I'm waiting for Rain to finish its tool. I'm adding the last touches to the design.
Beowuuf (and perhaps others) are playtesting.

i didn't start any dungeon because my wallset generator takes me a lot of time to code and only when i have enough motivation for that !...

I have a rough idea of a dungeon..well, actually two.
Done some parts on graph paper already.

In csbuild I know the very basic things, sometimes they work on the third try! lol.
This would get better with more practice, I am sure.

Done custom monster graphics that even worked , but have only one left.
Was enormous fun to create monsters! ADGE makes this really easy(height and width changeing).

I really think one of the key elements of success is small steps with a result you see.
Just doing things and not "thinking it dead".. I guess I am too lazy at times.
SHould give it a new try.

I haven't been in the DM spirit lately. I haven't worked on my dungeons. They're still on my computer, and I hope I get the interest sometime again.

Des:
I've made a New Year resolution. I'm not going to give up drinking, smoking, junk food, or any other naughty activity. Instead I've promised myself I'll complete my recently started custom dungeon by the end of the year.
I did the same promise in the beginning 2006.
well, I`m working on my sungeon since... 20 months? I`m working slowly not to make too much bugs. BTW designing a new graphics steal a looooooooot of my time. so I didn`t finished my custom yet. one happy thing that from the beginning of this year I`m working on it in my free time (I had a looong brake before). It`s 85-90% done now and mostly DEBUGGED !!! So I hope in june/july it will be finished...

Thank you for noticing me, Adamo. (three months ago, see message above) As it goes, the dungeon I'm working on may be ready in July??? I don't know. That sounds like a long time to me, but "AS IT GOES" is not going very fast, especially since I'm trying to give up computer games for a while. So maybe you should look for my dungeon around 2020.

well, PaulH made one of his dungeons in one free weak, as far as I remember (but the fakt is, that it was terryfying intensive work, right Paul?). From that point of wiev a month is a lot of time.. so maybe I should buy 30 litres of red-bull and finish my dungeon in 96 hours.. ;)

Yep, 8 days for the Black Flame using Dmute. Now its about 8 years for my latest... All depends on what mood you are in.

I would make one, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be really very fancy, so it wouldn't be anything that impressive.

Unless I try to make it puzzle-based, somehow...

Besides, inspiration is something I need and do not have... I have ideas for little features, such as abilities and items, etc. but no real ideas on the dungeon itself.

hey, don`t worry about that. Just start working and everything will come. When I started working I didn`t have a great ideas on the dungeon itself, it all came later. if it`s your first dungeon it doesn`t have to be big and features-loaded!

Size doesn't matter (fnar).

One of the most complex dungeons I've seen (5D) only consists of two tiny levels (with a total of only about 300 tiles - thats the equivalent of just a single level 17x17 big; just the size of the Hall of Champions in DM) and only uses stairs, movable walls and pressure pads...

...its how you link them together that counts!

Zo - you might find this old thread (about how to go about making a dungeon) useful

Hey cool, thanks! :D

I've got an idea for a dungeon... I should probably work it all out with pen & paper first.

If I'm properly motivated it should take me about a week... it'll be my first dungeon, after all, so it won't be anything Übergrand.

Hi am new here.

Already i work on my labirynth called "Realm Of Darkness"
Story: Old mysterious building in King Donovan land. Many heroes explored it but nobody return. You are next which try it. Will you survive or lost into deep labirynths like others?

This will be dungeon on two ways: wisdom=riddles or force=enemies
Path of wisdom is longer, path of force is faster but dangerous. You can select just one from possibilities or both ways to get trough and win game. You start with full equiped one hero and may join others during game (if you find someone still alive)

I may give link to demo but probably better is relase only full tested version. I make it on CSBuilder.

Sounds nice! Good to see that we get new members who also dive into the domain of dungeon developing. I haven't worked on my dungeon for quite a while, but I think I feel a bit more interested in it again. Only problem is that I think my expectations have risen in the meantime. Oh well, it will be done - some day...

Hi Zed, welcome to the forum !
Yup, it would be better if you release finished game. If you have any problems with CSbuild, feel free to ask us.

I got some questions about CSBuilder but i will ask in other topics.

First i sterted on DMute, DMBuild, then RTC editor, but finally i chose CSBuilder because it can be run quickly. So its good for quick testing. Anyway mod work like independent game and its cool.

So this means that you've played... ALL the dungeons, Adamo?!

no I haven`t (yet)... :(
I don`t have a time for playing even DM/CSB cause I`m working on my own dungeon ("Dungeons of DEATH") and I spend almost every free hour designing it... it`s a LOT of work!!! :/

but as far as I know people are waiting for new dungeons. More dungeons = more fun ! :D

"Dungeons of DEATH" eh?...
Sounds like you have distilled the whole DM genre into your own dungeon. I will expect to see lots of clouds of dust.

by beowuuf
Lol, it's more like he distilled something else itself into a dungeon... expect lots of death...and fire...

by Adamo
lol, maybe I`ll change its name to "DeathS in HellfireS". "Deaths" sounds more scary than one death ;)

or "666 Demons", where you have to defeat them all (sounds rather dully than scary isn`t it?) ;)

expect italian dance soundtracks included ;)
