Simple coding for original DM
I saw with the RTC dungeons and the test dungeon for DMute a very simple .txt coding. In there I saw restrict save, which is what I want to do on one of my dungeons for the original dungeon. Yes I want it to be the original Dungeon Master, I know it's easy to get this in RTC, but I want in Dungeon.dat format. Does anybody know how I can get to this simple code, or restrict saving?
Thanks
Thanks
I'm a boy, unlike my avatar.
You can't restrict the original dungeon.dat files from people looking, sorry!
There used to be a trick when DMute v1.3 was around, but it will be useless against DMBuild and CSBuild . You can convert the PC DM to Atari format by using CSBuild and play through CSBwin - this is using the original engine with bits bolted on, so isn't a massive shift.

the closeset to doing this in orriginal DM is likley through CSBwin if you can ask to have that feature added.. and if it's possible to add it. RTC has a lot of abilities because it was coded from scratch. Chances are *if* it can be done in CSBWin.. it's not likley "simple"
but I've been known to be wrong before.

Boy! When youse guys decide you cannot learn
something.......that's the end of it.
The DSA would look like this:
something.......that's the end of it.
The DSA would look like this:
Code: Select all
L1 &DISABLESAVES

ok well then please reffer to my other quote "but I've been known to be wrong before."
Had no idea it would be that simple. from previous descriptions between you and ZYX talking about it I saw what looked to me like bits of code and ascii values or something.. bad assumtion that it would all look like that.

mooAlso I had a strange problem:
here's the DSA code:

Better off, perhaps. But some numbers greater thanbetter off asking Paul Stevens to add the FTL animation into CSBWin
zero are less than any possible positive number.
'*' is one example. See Berlekamp, et. al., 'Wining Ways',
Academic Press, 1982.
Another example is your probability of getting me
to code the Swoosh.

Oh dear.....
There are no Pretty Pink Pills!
Beowuuf *is being sarcastic*. It's a trait often peculiar to Brits and is often difficult to perceive in written text.beowuuf wrote:You haven't seen the famous Amish cartoon series Percy, the Penguin and the Pretty Pink Pills? Man, what culture have you been living with!

You are kidding right?
It's a joke. Beowuuf is saying that drugs (pretty pink pills) will make your head so screwed you'll see a "swoosh" without needing to play DM. Make sense now?Beowuuf wrote:The pretty pink pills can let you see the swoosh without both[er]ing Mr Stevens though, or even needing to start up the programme
