I know I said avatator in the title, when I made the title, I still thought it was called that.
Hey, Ameena, I'm a boy, btw.

I got the program, used it, it's almost like a program that I have that I can't seem to get into.
actually, I wasn't looking for an animated avatar. I needed it for somewhere else.

Now, that I've rested, I can see exactly who you were saying her about. When I first read the message, it wasn't quite clear if you were calling me or petal a girl.

Another in my party. I forget his real name, what was it again? I call him John the Green Bee.
I like Petals picture.

Yeah, that was it, I think. I don't think he's really a fairy. Maybe the hallway where Sara(Petal) and John are is the fairy section(did that make sense?)

I think you must have missed our previous discussion on that, Cow!

The usage of "avatator" has become ironic. Check out prevous musings on the subject.

Yup, we;'ve already done the 'have a potato' job and have moved on to repeating the ends of many words : )

I hadn't realised we were being ironic...wow, makes us sound really clever or something : )

not when your work load has been deleted and it's 3 days to pay day so you're not going to have money for food or rent because someone decided you didn't need to exist in the computer anymore, yet you are still needed at work because computers are exploding for no reason (well the monitors were anyway.. burning monitors don't smell to good) and well, you've got a number of other things on your plate at any given time.. other things were happening too at the same time but I've complained enough...

That's real life.. where everything goes wrong at once and takes weeks to straighten out even half of it :P

that's why I missed a lot of reading on the forums..

geeze.. who's the grumpy git now? guess I am ;)

I think if we both fully typed up our last few years it would depress the hell out of everyone and they'll never come back! But yeah, I appreciate times have been hard and its good to see him mooing again.

Well it was gambit for a while.. mine is mostly over (only been about 3-4 months) and it's looking up again.. I'm sure there will be more of us to hit those down times.. it's a matter of us just surviving them and staying positive I guess..

I have our rather chaotic health service to contend with! I think in any other country my ordeal would have just been weeks!

well, keep after them.. I've seen people here wait in emergency for an hour with a knife wound in the leg while someone with a toothache goes ahead of them..

so it's buggered every where you go..

In Argentina people even die while waiting on the bench. At least they had a bench to die on. Government has promised more benches.

Maybe they could employ more...what's the word..those people in the outfits...janitors, you know, to clear up the benches too. No one wants to see that sort of thing.

Thats a bit morbid Beo!

Actually compared to most countries, our health service is very good. But not particularly efficient, and held back by politics and red tape.

An oportunity to stick my 2 cents in here. Your countries
(Canada, Europe) are supposed to be models for how we want
our health service to be. Hmmmmm.

This morning my wife did something to her knee. Painful.
We called the doctor at 0948, talked to the doctor (not a
receptionist), and were told to be in her office at 1100.
So I am packing. May not see you much for a while.
Depends on the diagnosis. We have been on the edge of
a knee replacement for a couple years.

For Cowsmanaut's first post after me: Man, that can't be good. I totally forgot about that real life!
For Cowsmanaut's last post before me: I don't understand why they would do it in that order. Did they see no pain?

At the moment I just seem to be stuck on a merry-go-round. Passed from one specialist to another, who contradict each other and offer no positive way forward. It doesn't help that I have to correct them in consultations in their own field.

And it is waiting times that annoy me and the way they are defined. I see a doctor. He referrs me to a specialist and writes to him. Specialist writes back eventually, saying 'you will have a date for an appointment in 11 weeks'. Letter arrives in 11 weeks, official waiting time starts NOW. And as for scans, the waiting list is just enormous. I wish I had taken out private insurance.
