Not sure who to vote for tomorrow?

Try these web sites:
http://www.whodoivotefor.co.uk/en/1/wdiv4home.html
This one is focused primarly on the UK election, and tries to find the political party you agree with most.
http://www.politicalcompass.org/
This is much more international in outlook and maps your political standpoint on a graph with which you can see how you compare to Stalin, Hitler, Thatcher, Blair and other despots.

Interesting political compass. I filled in the form and was pretty much bang in the middle of the chart: very slightly to the left, and very slightly libertarian. So overall, I'm a jolly fair old chap!

That is a very interesting thing to do. I was quite surprised to see me quite far to the left and quite libertarian while I was thinking I would be quite in the middle! I am very close to the Dalai Lama and very far away from Saddam Hussein and George W. Bush - this is at least quite right. Cool site, thanks Des!

Closest to me was 'Beethoven'!

I don't even see Beethoven... ???
My exact stats: Left/Right -4,13 Authoritarian/Libertarian -5,69

If you go to the original link, look in the menu and there is a 'humourous' bit for composers!
I was L/R -2.15, A/L -0.83

I'm worst than Gandhi or the Dalai Lama!

No right wing authoritarians out there?! Wonder how Lord Chaos and Lord Order would vote...

Interesting question Paul. Maybe we can get a screenshot of Lord Chaos in that chart... I bet he wouldn't think of it as funny.

I would be willing to bet he would lean just a bit towards the anarchy side of things. Just a bit... Given the amount of coins he left in his dungeon, I don't know his economic stance: possibly a bit to the right.
Order obviously is a left wing fascist while Librasulus sorta hovers in the middle.

Isn't Librasulus just the same as Lord Order, or did I get that wrong? It's been awhile since I read the DM story...
I am not sure about Lord Chaos. After all, he keeps some of the races of his minions strictly apart - Screamers may only talk to Mummies, Worms, Giant Wasps and Slime Devils (and maybe Couatls, if we can assume that they can communicate through closed doors). Golems aren't allowed to have friends from other races! Seems quite fascist to me...

I reckon Lord Chaos would be bottom right, diametrically opposed to Lord Order.
I was amazed by Zyx's result - there aren't many anarcho-communists around! I scored closest to Gandhi (-4 ish on both) which seems about right given my softie liberal socialist views on most things.

As for the other link, I got a tie between Cons and Lab at 55% apiece!

That Who Do I vote For? site is clearly biased due to the wording of the questions -- it encourages you to think a certain way.
For a more balanced version, try this one:

I had a tie between Green and Lib Dem. But I'm voting Labour coz I like John Denham and my seat is a straight fight between the big two. Of course we all know if we had Proportional Representation in the UK the smaller parties would get a lot more votes and there'd be a hung parliament every time. Hmmmm.....

Using Gambits link: (which isn't much better IMO!)
Who should I vote for? v2
Your expected outcome:
Conservative
Your actual outcome:
Labour 2
Conservative -3
Liberal Democrat 2
UKIP -4
Green 20
The other questionnaire put Greens at the bottom! Oh well

I took a look at the one Gambit posted and decided it needed too much info in UK policies that I as a German don't have, so I didn't fill it out. Interesting to see you getting such different results Paul.
...and I still feel sad for the lonely Dragon, all on his own down there...

I just tried the other "who should you vote for" site and it came out much the same for me with Lib Dem just ahead of Green.
For a more in-depth test try
http://www.politicalsurvey2005.com/scripts/quiz
The analysis is rather spiffy especially the "scatterplot" graph.

Maybe I should become a politician. Vote for me!!!
He's not that lonely... well he wouldn't be if he stopped barbecueing everyone that visited him. Look at all those ashes!

I didn't say it was better, just more balanced!
As for the political compass, I'm somewhere very close to Nelson Mandela and Ghandi: Economic Left/Right: -5.75, Social Libertarian/ Authoritarian: -3.23
The "Who Do I vote for site?" said I should vote Tory. The "Who Should I Vote For?" site says I should vote Lib Dem.
I answered the questions as consistently as I could given the granularity provided. Go figure...

You got my vote Paul!
That's just because he doesn't know how to express his feelings! He screams of joy everytime someone visits him and accidentally slips out a fireball! He just never learned to do it properly, growing up all alone down there, the only company being Lord Chaos hovering over one of the holes in the ceiling from time to time... *sniff*

Des's new test says overall I am Lib Dem. Slightly.
So I have had every possibility so far, and I am sure I have input similar views into each. Infact, I would say I am pretty opinionated. It seems I take each point on its own merit rather than putting it under a heading to fit an ideal. Whether this is good, or bad or whatever, I don't know, but its me. Maybe I shouldn't vote.
The Dragon does have lots of shiny things!
Thought: its all a load of bollocks, isn't it?

That thought had crossed my mind as well...
Anyway, I think your way is the correct one Paul, since I tick the same way you do.

Good stuff!
My vote will come down to the most important matter of tomoorrow (which is now today, as seems to happen at this time of night). That matter is a) What time I get out of bed. B) Whether I have cornflakes or weetabix C) Whether I can be arsed to walk to the polling station.
I suspect C will be the deciding factor, though the weetabix might spur me on to leave the house if A has commenced in a reasonable time.
