Hello All,
Yesteday a friend of me (Hi Cafard !) suggested me to give a look on some crazy guys that were competing to finish CSB in the smallest time. It was a shock to discover that there was people able to finish it in less than 11 minutes (at least for me that never was able to beat CSB despite numerous succes in DM)....I laughed a lot reading about that competition, a bit less when I read that somebody was looking his father playing DM when he was kid !!!! (Yes, soon 20 years of DM....)
And it was even a bigger shock to see that there was some people and even a community that was still playing DM CSB and edited dungeons...
Now I know that I can't do other way that installing DM and CSB and run again in those deep dungeons... Come here little mummy, despite time have passed I still have some tricks to show you...

Folks, we have infected another one!
Great to see this forum convinced you to play again! If you get stuck in CSB again, feel free to ask, I am sure you will make it this time. Some of the custom dungeons built by people here are actually as good as, if not better, than the original games. Try Imprisoned Again, Towers of Chaos or Conflux II, these dungeons are great! (though Conflux is extremely hard, so be warned)

Thanks for the welcome

But before trying some new dungeons I'll Fuze one time. Then there will be some explications with CSB monsters and dungeon. The gameplay is still so addictive, it's unbeliveable ! DM was really a revolution in it's time. Even graphically it's not so much outdated (at least for me) !

Hi Chacal welcome!!!
BTW: there`s a lot of old DM fans, wchich just don`t realise that this page exists (in Poland for sure!). I wonder, how to popularise it???
Any suggestions?
More people here- more custom games here.

Hi Adamo, thanx, well maybe it's good that only people who want to find the site will. Some sort of http trasure island...
It's funny but now I find DM easy.... wow I just go through the levels, and past the worms level was no more challenging monsters... even those pesky rats and scorpions that were so scary at time are dead meat for Gothmog team

) The most difficult is for me to find all the 'special' weapons, I hope i have not missed the 'Magical Axe', but i really don't remeber where to find it. Maybe on level 10 ? Will have to 'test' the some walls there

My memory fails

Yes, it is on level 10, near the end. I seem to recall its release being something to do with the eye

Said axe is near the iron bar doors near the end of level 10. You can open a little section with a Beholder and the Shield of Lyte. In there is another little switch that opens the way to the Hardcleave. Just go around a bit and you will find it.

If you get the inquisitor from level 7, you have a matched pair of weapons that will do you proud, even against golems and knights

Is Inquisitor better than Diamond Edge? I normally stick with the latter, since not only do I know it's one of the best weps in the game, I can't be arsed to kill those two Stone Giants to get to Inquisitor anyway

Diamond edge is faster and slicier, just inquisitor has berserk too - depends what you prefer - i like the big damage : )
And the doors are nicely placed...green boxed, doors, no hassles : )

I know that the Diamond Edge is the best weapon, but I always use Hardcleave+Inquisitor... More damage in one swing is just cooler for me. ^^

Hardcleave and Inquisitor for me too. Less wear on the mouse button...
And it's always nice to see those huge damage ratings.

Off topic here, but what's your avatar from Toni? Looks like a great 3D clone...

That's not from the CSB intro, it's definitely from something newer...

It's a piece of 3D CGI art that I made in the vein of the CSB intro. Since I make dungeons, I thought it would suit me well. After all my last avatar was a screenshot from DMute...
