Playback speed of records?

I tried some search, but didn't find anything about.

Why is playback speed of recorded plays so fast? More accurate, only movement is too fast (walking, rotating) . It is impossible to fallow what happening in many situations. Is it also the reson for so unrealistic short finishing of games (11 min for CSB) ???
Did I missed something about settings?

I played it on relatively slow machine - Duron at 800 MHz.

There is a speed option in the pull down menus. And the times ARE genuine! There is plenty of literature on this elsewhere especially on the nature of the clock. They do look obscenely fast when replayed for the 1st time.

Well, I am very happy to hear that it can go too fast
on a relatively slow machine. (I developed it and
continue to test it on a 166 MHz machine. It has to work
well there, first.)

The original Atari version threw in an extra tick of the clock
whenever the players moved in an attempt to get the old
8 MHz Atari to appear less sluggish. I think that is why.
During playback this is annoying. Turn off the 'Extra Ticks'
in the Speed menu. You can also slow it down there if
you like it to go slower. Also see:

Thanks Paul... 'Extra Ticks' was the problem... Me stupido didn't try it :(
I tried of course slowdowns in speed menu.

Btw game runs pretty well on 200 MHz P1 machine with 48 MB too.
