Latest Version 0.35, 6 March 2006

This version contains many hundreds of enhancements and fixes over
previous versions – highlights include the following.

- Everything is now editable. This includes all game mechanics (items,
monsters, spells, attack methods, trigger actions etc.) as well as all
interface graphics and sounds (including many which aren’t part of the
original games, such as background music, ambient sound effects, unique
sounds for each rune and/or each power level of each spell cast).

- Additionally, spells, weapon / monster attack methods and triggers
are now interlinked so that you can create spells / attack methods
that activate triggers / relays / counters etc in the dungeon and vice
versa. This means that you can create arbitrarily complex sequences
with multiple effects. There are several example dungeons with RTC
that show some of the possibilities of these.

- Full support for high-resolution, up to 32bpp graphics (24bpp colour
plus 8-bit alpha channel), including PNG images and animations.

- Full support for a variety of sound formats including MP3, OGG,
WMA, AIFF and WAV, together with the ability to specify playlists
(a group of sounds from which one will be picked at random) for each
sound effect.

- A re-written GUI editor to make the creation of new dungeons quick
and easy.

- Several bugs fixed to make the game more DM-like (including monsters
attacking too soon, sleep regeneration rates, wands using mana and
adding the option to scale all graphics in low resolution if desired).
you ... are... a ..... god. *bows*

F*ck me! This is awesome.

I was privileged to have 7 beta versions of v0.35 -- I tried out lots of thigs, offered feedback, found some bugs, made suggestions.... but at no point did GG hint at PNG support or all those extra sound formats!

This is freaking awesome, can't wait to have a look at this properly. GG, you are a god amongst men. Well, among DM fans anyway. :D :D :D

I can't wait to start building a dungeon with this! Just have that small matter of finishing my CSBWin dungeon...

Just what I was thinking. The feature list is stunning! It might rekindle my enthusiasm for dungeon design I gave up on my unfinished CSBWin dungeon (Angel's Egg) several months ago.

Ooooh..... the new PNG with Alpha is sweet! Had a *very* quick play with a monster with soft edges and a variably transparent shadow. Nice!

I've just been playing with the editor and the thing that struck me is how many customisations are so much easier than with CSBWin / ADGE / CSBGraphics etc.. This has tempted me into having a go at making an adventure with RTC.

I also revisited my abandoned CSBWin effort (Angel's Egg) and ended up playing it for several hours and concluding it's not so bad after all. So I won't take up Adamo's suggestion, rather I'll make some improvements and release it as a "vanilla" - no rush though.
