Magic Missile, multipotion

I'm trying to create a magic missile spell.
It's a ninja spell that creates arrows that can be fired from a bow and then explodes on impact. I created a new item, magic missile, cloned from an arrow. The problem is that the size of the explosion doesn't correspond to the level of the spell cast. If I clone from, say, ful bomb it does inherit the spell level, but can't be fired from a bow or be put in the quiver.
Any ideas?

Next, I want to make a potion that when you drink it becomes a different potion. I can do this but again there is a problem inheriting the level of the original. Any way around this?

As it stands, there's really no way to do what you want because SWAP doesn't copy the charge level over.

If it did, such trickery would be quite easy!

Both these things work nicely in v0.38
