Thanks for the update.

All seems to be running smoothly, with no sign of the earlier glitches that were crashing the game.

Though I was irked when a worm bit me for a whopping 112 and killed Stamm flat dead!

I'd be irked too - the maximum damage a worm can do by default is 90!

Were you playing on a hard difficulty level?

Actually, I might be wrong. I thought Stamm had full health when he got bit, but could have been slightly less. Like 90...

That might explain alot ;-)
