New version of editor

I was designing a dungeon with the editor which came with 0.35
I've just installed 0.37 (I never got 0.36) and tried to load my dungeon .txt file into the editor and I get a load of errors saying "cannot find xxxxx in the file", "cannot find wallset", etc.

I haven't moved anything on my hard drive, so why can it suddenly not find various sounds, etc.

I also get errors saying "cannot find parameter 8" etc. If the format of the .txt file has changed, why doesn't the editor read the old 0.35 format and convert it?

RTC can use absolute links - amake sure the folder reference relative to the editor is the same

Already did

I haven't changed the location of the editor, and all the images and sounds are on a different drive so the links are absolute such as:

D:\New DM Images\Sounds\BigBang.wav

Could it be that 0.36 upgraded and 0.37 doesn't and assumes I used 0.36? If so, where can I now get 0.36 from?

Can you let us know exactly what errors you're getting (for example, compile the dungeon using the game - rather than the editor - and copy-and-paste the error log here)?

Hi George, just sent files

Hi George,

I've just sent the .txt file, .log file and diagnotic file to george at ragingmole dot com

Edit: let's not give anyone an easy place to spam! : ) -b

Lol

Sorry, George. I thought that address was public - it's what came up when the program said to send the error logs

George: Can please include for V0.38 the possibility to dumb the warnings/error-report that the editor displays manually into a text file without having to compile a dungeon anew?

Actually, it might well be and I was being overly cautious : )

Hi George,

I made the changes you suggested and now I get another log with more errors in it. I've emailed it to you, can you please have a look and perhaps make some changes so it loads. Thanks.

Simon

Hi, just to let you know your mail still hasn't arrived; the system's probably just playing up and it will come along in a bit...I'll reply when I get it!

I have a receipt tracker on my outgoing mail and it says the mail hasn't been delivered to your inbox yet, so the problem is probably with your mail server. Hopefully it'll get there sometime soon :)

Sent again

I've just sent again and put the enclosed log file into a .zip and it says your mail server has accepted it. I assume there is an antivirus stopping .log files getting through as attachments?

Got both now and have replied - no idea what was going on with the postal system

BTW - for everyone else, all the problems come from the change in the way objects are specified in the latest version of RTC (about 90% of the errors are from the change in the way wallsets are named).
