In O-DM level 08 (rats) (and probably in RTC-DM too), the "What is under foot is soon overhead" area is malfunctioning. As soon as you drop items like skeletons' wooden shields unto the related floorpads, the fireball launchers at Enc. z08/x34/y8-9 become chain-guns and constantly fire with a high frequency.

This is the same cause as the "trapdoor bug" that you reported before (and so now fixed in V0.40 too).
