Just had some talk with Sophia about how dungeon designers could give maps to players that are not spoiling too much. The following might be a nice idea:

George, can you make the editor spill out a map in the magic map style, just for a whole level rather than just a couple of tiles? I mean, an algorithm for the drawing of the magic map has to exist somewhere already, it would be cool of a dungeon designer could use as a global tool to create hint maps.

How about making a screenshot of the level (opened in rtcbuilder)
[pressing Prt Scrn key, then opening mspaint/gimp/.. and paste image.]

I am not familiar with the rtc editor, but uncheck draw iconitems
in view and you have a simple dungeon floor map without too muchelse. Maybe that would worK?.
Screenshots can be retoucheed in a paint programme etc.
If you want the magic map style however, that would be cool!

I used screenshots similar to what you describe in Angel's Egg (RTC version) to create level maps accesible via a secret URL. However, you can only get the scroll with the URL on it in level 10 (The Golden Void). If you are stuck in the void the maps will help you escape and complete the quest.
