updated a bunch of DM monsters I hadn't done anything to so far. Looking at how they could be updated..

I was sitting in a life drawing class but not drawing the model.. but drawing these things instead

Wow they're cool...but eeek the Thief pic looks creepy...like Gollum with more hair lol. And the Fire Elemental looks pretty cool with that skull...and I'm not sure why but the Beholder reminded me of a Pain Elemental from Doom II...

thanks :)

Yes, he did look a bit like gollum in the end.. the other comment I got about him was a Creepy young Tarzan. Being that it was a 2D animation class I guess that was their inspiration for the comment where the 3D Animation class would have all agreed and said gollum.

Beholders are so universal.. always the same sort of thing.. I don't think I really brought anything especially new to it.. but I did my best.

The one I thought people would either like or hate would be the change to the Coutyl.. I always thought a snake with dragonfly wings was a bit naff. It just looks silly.. I tried to stay reptile with it.. though the temptation is to go even more different.

I might make these.. I might not.. I also started on a were rat. but I'm not ready to show him yet.

I was clicking on the links before my eyes had a chance to stray to the end of the line and see the picture title, so I could try and guess what the pic was of when it came up. I thought the Flying Snake was a Wyvern before thinking "Hmm but there's no wyverns in DM...must be a Flying Snake then" lol.
And now you mention it, I agree - demonic Tarzan .

I think the Black Flames are very cool. Real "tortured soul" kinda things.
Hey! Female Mummies! Neat!

Great pictures. They look really scary.
However, the one that does not match my imagination is, of course, the Couatl, since the mythological Couatl is a feathered snake.

Interestingly, Couatls are always "lawful good" in the D&D multiverse.

Great work Cows, the Giggler looks especially scary...

Maybe these are the ones that got corrupted by Chaos...

well, to be honest, The couatyl.jpg is a replacement for.. not supposed to be one. I am doing a PNG ghost replacement.. but you need to wait to see that one.. it's not at all like orriginal ghost.. but is a ghostly demon of types..

Probably the type of ghost that made White Wolf rename the game announced as "Ghost" to be released by the name of "Wraith".

I think the ghosts in Pagan look really cool...kind of floating blac-cloaked, skeletal head/arms/shoulders that are all wispy at the bottom.

it was actually a random convergance of items "Wide, Wooden, Slightly worn, Robot" using word lists and dice to come up with something to draw. It was a small challenge I took on with a few students..

I posted it here because it was indeed similar to the cog knights I did before.. and fantasy related. but not anything specific :)

Are there any drawings like this of Screamers anywhere? There are already loads of pictures of dragons and the like on the net, so nice to see stuff directly related to the DM genre.
I can think of an idea how to use these sort of pictures, like on a wall in a dungeon to warn people as to what's coming up next!

Nice work cowsmanaut.

Caveman paintings of an ancient, primeval Screamer demon... two adventurers, a man and a woman, defeat it and feast on the Screamer Slices left over... and thereby gaining the knowledge held by the Screamer: knowledge of Good & Evil.

Guess what those two adventurer's names were?

Well, in this particular case they probably rather got the knowledge of Order and Chaos.
