Dungeon Master Forum

I can't open any chest! Can somebody please explain why? I need the mirror inside to open a door...

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Chests are easy to handle: You just take the chest in a character's right hand and open his inventory, i.e. by right-clicking. You will see then the contents of the chest instead of the food/water bars, you can simply take items out of the chest by left-clicking on them.

For other basic questions you might get quicker answers than having to wait for someone to reply here by simply reading the Dungeon Master manual or hint book, all available at the Dungeon Master & Chaos Strikes Back Encyclopaedia you'll find above in the quick links pull-down menu.

Also, you can click-and-hold a chest over the eye icon (in inventory) to see the contents.
