how to change spell symbols?

How to change a spell symbols to the other than they are in original game? I noticed that Gambit did it. But how? I tried to look for them in graphics.dat file, but there are only wall fonts/ scroll fonts bmps.

dmout120.bmp and dmout557.bmp contain partial and all spell runes
respectively.

I`m trying to make new spell symbols. And I`ve got 5x5 pixels for each only ! :evil:
Anyway, does this symbols tells you something? ;)

5. hmm.. actually it`s not "sh", but very similar one.. I`m not sure how to write it in english.. we`ve got these two vowels in polish, just like it`s in hindi - these are "ś" and "sz" (except "s"); in english there might be no difference in spelling, so (+)

8. I tried to draw an "u", but with 5x5 pixels it`s rather tremendous task... but (+), but it might be d (emphasis version)

When I open graphics.dat by latest ADGE, there are no spell runes symbols in 120.bmp ([fonts used for wall text]), and 557 is not .bmp, but .FNT1 file (named: "[fonts used for interface and scrolls]"), I cant open it because it`s hex file.
So, how can I modify spell symnbols in CSBwin?? I know it is possible as Gambit somehow did it. help!!!...

right. I get "DMout557.bmp" file from Gambit`s files extracted I don`t know how (when I`m trying to export 557th "Fonts Used For Interface And Scrolls" FNT1 file by ADGE, I get .dat output file. So I changed the Gambit`s DMout557.bmp file by GIMP and tried to load it into the GIMP. It has loaded to the FNT1 file, as usual. I made a new graphics.dat file, but when I tried to test the game, all the interface fonts were completely changed.. Some of them looks as a russian alphabet, but there`s a big mess in general. How can I transfer 557.bmp file into proper 557.dat file, like Gambit did ? help !!!

.FNT1 file in graphics.dat ? Why isn`t it .bmp file, as all others? how can I edit it? is there a spwcial app for editing it?

Dunno about ADGE anymore -- I did it quite simply using DMextract and using standard BMPs.
