Sleepers/Reactor Help

:( Sorry, feel free to move/delete this topic if its in the wrong place but im stuck at the very beginning of sleepers at the door that says "magic is a powerful tool". Ive attacked the door with everything i have, tried fireballing it, zo spell, chopping it, but nothing.

Can anyone help. ?

Hmm, just played the game, and I apparently got through that area fine the first time, but this time couldn't find anything

I have a horrible, horrible suspicion (as it's an old game) that the backwards compatibility issue with spell_opbys has rendered zo-ing this door open impossible....I will dig out an old version and let you know : (

Yeah, confirmed, zo did open the door, whcih you now can't do : (

I have the .txt file, but of course it won't compile wiht all the graphics for portaits missing :(

THanks Beo. Ah well. Im on reactor at the moment :) I got the txt file too but it wont compile. was going to add a button to open the door. not to worry.

:( Oh know. Ive been playing reactor most of the day :) Im not sure im stuck. maybe just mad.

Ive managed to get one of the golden doors open, but cant find way to start down the passage to the other one (the ones that are either side of the pit behind the 4 steel grate doors). Think Ive murdered everything a few times over and seem to be running in circles.

Done the ruby door and the turquoise door. Need a cross key to continue.

Ive got a RA key and a couple of iron keys..

Any pointers?

Here is a v0.42 compiled version of sleepers.
That zo-door bug is fixed (previously used invisible doorbuttons) but wether
there are other bugs or not I don't know.

I quite enjoyed sleepers when I played it.

How did you bypass the portraits, did you capture them manually?
What about the floor/ceiling - I notice it disappeared when running the old version in the new engine too?

Anyway, updated the link in the main game thread with this, thanks!

The portraits were included in the initial distribution, but I think they aren't in the right place by default.
Maybe I missed something with the wallset...I just copy and pasted the default one from another text file. I'll take another look.

It's not important, it originally had the alternate wallset orange floor and ceiling, which looked odd with the mornal walls.... never worked out if it was intended or not

Hmm i seem to be stuck in Reactor. I have gone through the ruby door and down to the mana well. I cant seem to find the turqoise key though (thats the key for the door next to the ruby door right?) I did find the cross key. Anyone wanna clue me into the general area of the turqoise key? I put the corbum in the mana well but dont have either of the gems yet. This normal or did i miss something?

bah that link is broken for me, so i guess im stuck at that door that wont open with the zo spell then, good thing i trained all my chars to master wizard............... :(
