Pocket PC & Conflux III

Hi folks,

I've just picked up a copy of Conflux III and am planning on playing through it on my ppc, I've d/led the latest (i'm guessing) CSBwin ppc exe - CSBWINCE205.EXE, at least it's got the latest modified date on Pauls website...

Anyway, I'm wondering if there is anyway to display all of the text? The end of each line is hidden behind the movement panel... There is an option to 'overlap text' but this moves the text up and it is hidden behind the spell and action bars... if the 'hide task bar' is enabled there is more space on the screen that could be used - I don't know if the 'overlap text' is supposed to put the text there??

If any one can help it'd be appreciated! Cheers,
LazyOldman

I am running version 10.0 on my PPC.
If I select 'Overlapped Text' then the
text is hidden behind the spell menu.
By tapping on the bit of text that is showing,
it comes to the top. Tapping again pushes
it back to the bottom.

That is about the best we are going to be able
to do.

Ahhh!!! :D

Thats great, I didn't think of tapping on the text!??! That'll be fine - now i've just got to clear my diary for the next month (or at least look like i'm clearing the diary on my PPC for the next month...)

erm... Which one is version 10.0? I can only see a couple of csbwin10.zip's on your website, but they're for the PC...

The CSBwinCE files look like they versions are 201, 202, 205 etc?? I'm running CSBwinCE205 on my ppc and i've just checked the tapping text and it does bring the text to the foreground unfortunatelyit still crops the end of the line off...

Ordinarily the text sits to the left of the movement pad, When 'overlap text' is ticked the text moves up to behind the spell bar and tapping on it brings it to the foreground - but there is a line directly above the movemnt pad that cuts through character 3's action button where the text stops, so it still crops off the end of the line...

Does that mean that you found 10.0 and it works
well enough to get the job done?

erm... Sorry, got distracted!

It sort of works the same... You can tap on the text to bring it to the front, but part of the text is still hidden behind the movement panel... So you actually miss alot of the meaning in the text...

Would there be anyway to (when in 'full screen type' mode) show the text below the movement panel? or bring it in front of the movement panel?

That is very strange. When I do it, the text moves up
behind the Spell and Attack controls. There is no
way it could be hidden by the 'Movement Panel'
because that is below the text. What version are
you using? Did you check 'Overlapped Text', as
described above?

The text was hidden behind the action (hand) bars. I'm running version 10.0 from you're website. I've taken a couple of screen grabs;

Image
Normal layout

Image
Text Overlap

Text is hidden behind 1/2 of 3rd characters action bar..

Image
Full screen (no ppc start bar)

There looks to be enough space at the bottom of the screen to put the text below the movement panel...

Is this how it looks on your ppc? Hope there's something you can do...

Indeed......there is more than one problem
here. Hang on - I'll return.

Try CSBwinCEv101.exe

from dianneandpaul.net/CSBwin

I shortened the lines so the entire text will
show (eventually) in the narrow space
normally available and I fixed the overlapping
business. I think. Sometimes there is some
ugliness when bits and pieces are left over
when changing the text location but I think
it is only cosmetic.
