If you want to check out who is in AJAX Chat, you can do so by viewing this basic status page:
http://www.dungeon-master.com/forum/chat/

Hmm, can this be made into a who's on info on the main page, like the info what users are currently logged into the forum?

I'd vote for that!
Ok, I realise that:
a) Wait for the new version of the forum before modding the beast
b) Additional processor or db action = additional cost for Cows(?)
c) Poor ole Gambit or somebody needs to cut and paste the php code from the page to a funky little area on the main page, make it fit in.
But I always use this link before entering flashchat, to see if anyone's there. (Not been around long enough to have to avoid anyone yet

Yes, it could, but as I've said several times already, I'm not making any more enhancements to the forums until after we've upgraded -- either to the new version of phpBB3 or some other software. It would be a waste of time.

Lol, all I did was bring the post from the maintainance forum gambit posted into the general forum sicne it was likely more people would come here, and see it - at least then it's in two logical places
It's a few button clicksto see the users, enjoy it!

bookmarked this link and now have a permanent little popup window on my desktop (a widget would be better) ! now i only have to think about refreshing it manually.
btw, instead of a 'close' link, maybe a direct link (window.open) to enter the chat could be useful.

Please bear in mind when using this that it can take a while for Flashchat to update it's records when someone leaves -- so the list may say someone is in there, when in fact they have left!

That's ok I think. It would be much worse the other way round, if there actually is someone in, but it isn't displayed. Then, somebody else might not even bother entering Flashchat, even though somebody is in it.

i banned myself :p

Uh, couldn't you just /kick yourself instead of /ban you?
Aside from Gambit and maybe Cows no one can unban you, not even with mod powers, because in stupid Flashchat there is a /ban for mods but no /unban. So if no Admin changes the database you have barrred yourself out for 10 hours.

Tis done
Edit: Now gambit actually said where the admin panel was, we admins can rise above the worrying level playing field that was flashchat and it's basic mods
Pity most of our spooky powers require users to restart in flashchat to take effect

Seems that Beo can do it too.
Edit: Simultaneously posting. But that was a fast unbanning.

I noted people misses each other on a chat. Maybe it would be an idea to announce here before.. That`s for newbies.

I'm demoting this thread to non-sticky: We don't need it since I integrated the "Who's in chat" thingy.
PLEASE NOTE:
For the new "Who's in Chat?" feature to work properly, YOU MUST USE THE LOGOUT BUTTON IN CHAT WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED.
Otherwise, it'll take half an hour for you to be auto logged out and your name will still be in the list, which doesn't help anybody and makes the new feature useless.
So, remember: When leaving Chat, USE THE LOGOUT button!

Oh, I wasn't pointing fingers: just trying to get the point across because a lot of people have noted the new "Who's in Chat" feature wasn't working...
It *does* work if you use it properly!
