The game could do with a spear!

Hai all.
I was thinking a Spear could introduce a new mechanic, being able to melee attack from the back rank!
It wouldn't be over-bearingly powerful of course. Is it possible for such a thing to be implemented?

You can already, the mechanism exists just nothing uses it

I have a crappy drawing of a spear for my old never done CSBwin dungeon
You just clone any weapon, and change it's attack from whatever the attack is to the attack name (something like reach or something) that can then be used at the back
I think you might be able to create new attacks with that property (so firing magic bolts from a wand from the back or something). Not sure though

Surgical Strike does use halberds or something like that that can be used by characters standing in the back row, so it is certainly possible (and actually has been for some time already).
