As for DM customs, I recommend Conflux III, Surgicial Strike or The Black Flame (after beating CSB, of course!!!)

Have you tried Ultimate Torment and Torture? No doubts the BEST WAD EVER RELEASED (67 MB...). Not sure on wchich engine it runs best though. I`m not sure if it runs on ZDoom, but you may also try Skulltag.Love to play DM, Zdoom,Wolfenstein....GW and Hellgate:London

I didn't beat the Black Flame... is it cool ?
I confess I tried most old customs, but in many case,
I was stopped by (compose your statement):
dullness/stucked/total confusion/let's play Conflux instead.
Conflux 3 and SurgStrike are really good though.
(but I think CSB is a lot harder than Surgical Strike,
except if you want to find all SurgStrike secrets)
You should give a try to Sukumvit, too.
It's hard, but not too much, well designed,
and there's a lot of original ideas added.
(monsters notably)
And try Dark Portal, too.
It's totally different, but it's one of the best customs.
