I realized I had downloaded C3 to my desktop, so I went ahead and tried it out.
Of course, I saved the game every time I breathed (fear of the dangers mentioned by the rest of my DM C3 chronies).

All of a sudden, CREDITS. And those "dirty birds" wiped off all my saved games, as well.

Wahhhh! This world isn't FAIR!

Oh well, I was able to dabble a bit, at least.

Now...

Where can I get the REAL McCOY?
Do I have to purchase (CAN I purchase) a viable Conflux 3?

Huh? Who are these 'dirty birds'. I very much
doubt that the ConfluxIII game destroyed all
of your saved games. Your backups should still
be there, at the very least.

There is no demo Conflux III that stops you from playing or anything. You must have just died somehow, your saves should still be there as well. I guess by "dirty birds" you meant that the makers of the (non-existent) demo version made it so you died and your saves got wiped after you had played for a certain amount of time or something? You should have ConfluxIIIbugfix5, which is the latest version of the whole game for free.

Sophia told me to drag the files to the desktop. That fixed my problem.
I thought I should mention the good results, so this thread wouldn't be left hanging.

P.S. I sent those 'dirty birds' to the carwash. Now they're squeeky clean.
