How is everyone? Frosty and foggy here, and I just set the toaster on fire.

Cold and dry around here. Coffee and smoked fish for breakfast, so not much of a chance of setting something afire.

Recovering from flu, now it's just an annoying cold. A lovely day of domestic bliss ahead. Bah.

Yeah, I'm too recovering

38°C here. Swimming pool and cold showers, and programming in the shadow.

Zyx, it really makes me wonder - where is "here"? For today, I found maximum values 35C for Australia (Darwin), 33C for Latin America (Asuncion), 37C for Africa (Khartoum) and 31C for Asia (Mumbai). Not talking about the North.

I'd bet "here" is somewhere in Australia, isn't it? It's something about the cap you wear, that reminds me Australia... somehow...

@Jan: I think Zyx lives in Argentina.

@Paul: hi there Paul!!!
The weather is ok in Poznań, but I`m afraid the city would be overcrowded for two weeks (COP 14 http://unfccc.int/meetings/cop_14/items/4481.php ). Some streets near my house might be closed for VIPs.

was a bit foggy and overcast here, with the sun trying to breach through/ not windy, temperature low but therefore ok I guess ;)
do you think the toaster survived?

The toaster isn't very well! The whole house still smells of burnt waffles.

Love that Santa avatar, by the way.

I just bought a "Cat in the Hat" Christmas hat.

I'm going to wear it to work. Everyone has to wear a Santa hat, or an Elf hat, from December 1st until Christmas.

I also bought a "Simpsons: The Movie" Christmas hat (good old Homer is my hero).

I always wondered why people say that's so foggy in the UK ;)

Just came back from a week in Seoul and am seriously exhausted. Also envious of the 38° and the house smelling of waffles.

Mmm. A chance for that good old 'burnt bacon and waffles' smell.

Good luck. I hope the extinguisher doesn't malfunction.

Famous last words...

I'm in Argentina, I've been near a salt desert, NW of the Cordoba province.
Back in the city, it's only 25°C now.

I thought i was become all wimpy and english being away from scotland for so long, but in the last three weeks i have closed my windows only twice (today being one of those times) and have not had the heating on

The weekend my friend was down, he was camped at the heater during the evening and had it on full.

The fog was pretty cool, i was lying in bed watching the outside fancy lit towers getting moodily murkier
