The excellent four-part TV series "Virtual Revolution" has come to an end. The last episode asks everyone to take part in an on-line experiment to find out if the web is changing the way people think and operate. The experiment has a "fun" part too, which reveals what kind of Web Animal you are:

I am a web-bear: "Slow moving, solitary and adaptable". I think that's sort of correct

If you want to take the test yourself, do so here:

(You will need to setup a BBC login to do so.)

I turned on the telly last night to watch the prog after that one, and so I caught the last couple of minutes and thought the "test yourself" thing sounded interesting, so I checked it out once I was done watching telly and it turns out I'm a Bear too, apparently

Hehe, yeah, I was a bit annoyed by that. They make a point of saying the lab experiment is anonymous, then ask you to register!

I'm not sure what definition of "anonymous" they're using. I tried using a sign in from bugmenot and it presented me with someone else's results, so it clearly saves the results to the account. How is that anonymous?
Anyway, I'm the web rat, too, I guess.

What they mean by anonymous is that when the results are submitted for analysis, you won't be personally identified -- by that point, the identity of the owner of the data has been removed.

I'm a web elephant... Slow-moving, Social, Adaptable (Heavy

)
Mostly correct - but other than here I wouldn't really say sociable... that said i use a lot of online communication tools through work like communicator/livelink etc.. Perhaps that makes me more 'social'
