This request takes into consideration that the hero has already achieved Expert level in each class.

1. Fighter
2. Ninja
3. Priest
4. Wizard

boost wisdom. this would be the first step, imo

Solely throw arrow or slayer in front of door and besides a weak monster(screamer of lv4 , trolin of lv10-West etc...).

Jab repeatedly with rapier infront of a monster for fighter levels.

War-crying something like a screamer is very good for priest levels.

For wizard I just cast mon ful ir over and over again. There must be a better way though, maybe using potions to boost mana or wisdom.

also for fighter levels. That the awesome part of war-cries, you effectively train 2 levels with one action. superb

War Cry also boosts Fighter levels?
If so, the Fighter levels must be the most difficult to raise.

If the sole purpose at the time, is to raise skill levels, wouldn't the Firestaff (with no power gem) be the fastest way to build Priest levels?

Then, the Firestaff (WITH power gem) to build Wizard levels?

War Cry boost influence (hidden priest skill) in earlier versions of DM (1.1) and parry (hidden fighter skill) in later versions of DM (1.2) as well as in CSB. As for DM-CSBwin, is based on Atari version 1.1 I think, so it gives you a priest skill. CSB-CSBwin uses Atari CSB graphics.dat, so it gives you a fighter skill.

Which one of these options gives the most experience points?
I suppose Invoke would give the most, if used to attack a monster, and especially if the hero is wounded first?

Which would give the most experience points, if the option was simply tossed against a wall?

Been there. Tried to do that. Spent some time trying to figure it out.
Still found myself without the information I mentioned.
It might be a matter of ignorance on my part. If so, I apologize.

The fact remains that I haven't received a usable response for my request.

yeah, info is admittedly sometimes hard to find on the ency. But you should get used to searching there for the info you want,
I apologize if I flamed too much. Thing is, this can no one really know(what gives most xp) , so simply the best you can do is
to look it up(and learn to do it yourself).---
So what did you find ? What is best?

I tried out the 'climb down' option where there was no hole.
It hammers your stamina, and the recovery time is negligible, but does it actually give you any experience?
I went back and picked up a 'reincarnated' hero, then tried going down the pit at the end of the screamer room hall.
I gave up, since the 'kick' feature jumped the Ninja levels very quickly, although the Encyclopedia shows more experience in the 'rope trick' option.

Oh, I should ask, are you using RTC? If so, none of those tables even apply.

I'm using CSBwin. The execute file has a black sword for an icon.
