No?
I am chocked!

Hehe, I was browsing through turbosquid and noticed some of these creatures.. Some of them would work in a DM game, and I thought "It takes me about eight hours to create a crapy trolin, if I instead worked eight hours extra at my work, I could buy several good looking trolins :)"
But then again, I wouldn't get any better in the future when it comes to modeling, and the game would be more impersonal, and it is more fun modeling than sitting at work.. hmmm

I wonder what sense it makes trying to sell such stuff, because everyone surely needs unique stuff.
And 189$ for that Couatl - I will not say it isn't worth it. If you make that professional, two or three hours of work already make that price - but - who would buy it then?

many of those models are horrid and they charge a large amount for them.. I can't understand where they think it's worth that much.. just stunned..

Big problem isn't modeling imho, but animating.
i second Cows, most of those suck.

There are some things money can't buy.

For everything else there's DungeonMasterCard.

Hahaha, where can I get a Dungeon Master card? Is it some sort of archmaster requierment maybe?

I guess you all are right. I wasn't accually thinking of buying any of them anyway, mostly because of the same reason as Bit said "isn't unique".. I only did a quick look, and there are other models that are cheaper and looks better. But I must say that it would save me ALOT of time only buying models with animation and all and not having to do them myself.. But then again, it is sort of nice beeing able to switch beetween hard coding and 3d modeling, like a break..

In other game development forums I see that people actually buy such models, modify them a bit and use them in their games. But those are usually people who want to sell their games, and have a budget to buy artwork.

So there is a market, mostly in the indy game developer scene.
