Old Games

I thought I might share a neat website, its a bunch of early 90s and late 80s games that run on dos box. The exciting part (for me at least) is its an exe. file, one click and it installs the game, gives you a pretty little icon and you just click and play.

If anyone does go and get something let me know what it is, I havent played most of these games and am curious about which might be gems. for me I grabbed Ultima Underworld, looks like a winner.

Oooh, I may have to have a look into that at some point. I just had a little mooch through and found the original LBA on there - that's a game I haven't yet managed to get running in DOSBox (we still have the original disk), so maybe a downloadable version will work.
However, I'm still halfway through replaying Titan Quest so it'll have to wait a bit ;).

Nice find! Some great games on there, and some that I missed for one reason or another when I was younger (or I could only play occasionally on a friends Amiga, e.g. Syndicate, SSI Dragon Lance games, Monkey Island). Very tempted to download Fallout 2, even though you have to pay. If I get enough time I will give it a go.

BTW some of the partners (links on the left hand side of the screen) have different stock. For instance that site does not have Warcraft 2, but http://www.bestoldgames.net/eng/strategy.php does, so if you are after something in particular it is best to browse around.

Truely a nice find! Thank you.
I've downloaded Wizardry 6 and it works like a dream. Just by clicking on an exe, no fiddling with DOSbox and patched up to have max bonus points for character creation. No more spending an entire weekend to create a decent party with Samurai and Ninja. ;-)
