Hello

i am a great Dungeon Master Fan from Germany. I played this game at the age of 12 at Atari ST. Now i want to play this game again. I see there a some versions to download for free, but by non of them i can save the game. But this is not good. I search a version where i can save my game (savegames).
I there such a version?

Another question: Is there an original version from DM or CSB to buy for PC-WindowsXP?

There will be nothing that runs without DOS, you would need to emulate. Original DOS versions of the game would only be available second hand on ebay, etc

Note that on the PC, the game is being saved, even if it asks you to insert a disk. As long as a dmsave.day file is created in the root directory, the game should be saved and be accessable on the main menu. For emulation of atari/amiga, you need to create a second blank disk mounted to a second disk.

You can also play CSBwin, which is an self-contained emulation of the CSB for atari version of DM. The files for DM were converted for use with it, so you can play DM and CSB easily using it, and even port the characters across.

Hi, welcome to the forum. You can download most versions of the original game from The DM Encyclopedia.
Go to this page, then select a computer platform at the top (Atari ST, Amiga, etc.)

If you want to play a version that works on Windows, try RTC or DSB:

(For DSB, you will need to download the DM map:)

If you're looking to buy an original, there are always lots of copies available on eBay:
