I just downloaded the DM steam Edition (and the expansion) as the offer was too good during the Steam Halloween Sale.

However, the game is unplayable at the moment.

I start off fine - the volume is very good and I can hear everything.
The initial speech by the goblin is good, perfect volume but, every time he speaks the volume diminishes.
After the activating the lever and going downstairs I cannot hear any of the speech at all, so I turn the Voice Volume from 80% to 100% and can barely hear is IF I turn my PC volume to MAX.
That's not really acceptable.

I guess you're talking about Dungeon Defenders. Sorry, but you're on the wrong forum. Here we talk about Dungeon Master, an oldschool RPG from the 80's.

Sorry I googled Sound Issues with Dungeon master . This was 1st result and I assumed it was the correct forum.

Apparently I need Dungeons Game. That'll teach me to double check the game name before I search.

I figure your sound card was already installed when you purchased the computer?
If not, you might have to update to escape some difficulties.

I installed a new one (Galaxy) with a gig of RAM. I installed STEAM (Darksiders II caught my attention).
The sound would keep acting wierd until I did all the updates.

P.S. Hope you check back. You might enjoy spending a little time with Dungeon Master. Definitely cost efficient.
