Would it be possible to add an option to fonts, to allow the specified colour to additively affect the bitmap?

It would be great to be able to use a grey-scale font that respects all the greys when applying the colour, which would mean we could use some great classic bitmap fonts from the olden days . For example:

Unfortunately, this isn't really possible due to DSB's reliance on Allegro's text drawing routines, which are... not the greatest.

OK, no problem. I can alway pre-generate a few colours for in PhotoShop.
