I decided I wanted to try a run with reincarnated Tiggy straight into CSB with no training.

Right off the bat I already gained two wizard levels from casting three Lo level torch spells (the second one failed saying I needed more training with that spell).

I avoided the worms and picked up a torch, both gor coins, the chest and the dagger, bought Storm, then booked it straight to the fountain below supplies for the quick via run and jump (picking up the flask along the way).

Once at the fountain, I started the initial training. I'm surprised at how quick I was gaining levels here.

She's now journeyman fighter and ninja, adept priest and artisan wizard.

Next I plan to go to the screamer room in Neta for some more supplies and training (also going to pick up the iron key, gor coin and chest in the basement), then to Ros to pick up the key of B and to do some training against the mummies by the stairs and worms in the basement.

Wow, I think that must be, like, ultra-challenge-mode . Doesn't sound like it's giving you any problems, though. What will be left once you complete this run? :O

It's been easier than I expected so far. I didn't play much farther last night though. I did the screamer room in Ros (left one pair of screamers alive just in case I want to train some more with them later) and picked up the stuff in the basement.

It would probably be a lot harder if I had tried to kill the worms in the starting room right off the bat. With only 45 starting stamina I'm not sure it would even be possible before running out of stamina, and with only 25 health a small mistake could easily mean instant death.

I haven't played much because I've been feeling a bit under the weather and lethargic the last couple of days, but in addition to the training I mentioned earlier in the Neta screamer room I've trained one more fighter and ninja level in Ros and one more wizard level in Neta by casting torch spells in front of the pair of screamers I left there.

I went up to Supplies for the Quick and picked up some items there (after first killing the flying eyes with poison bolts through the gate).

Next time I play I will get started on the Ku path.

Next up is Gando through DM and CSB, then Zed.

Should be a piece of piss considering you've just soloed CSB with a newly-woken Tiggy .

I couldn't find any comments to tell a person 'how' to import DM characters into CSB.
I'm sure I saw some comments about what is imported along with the DM characters.
I just couldn't seem to find those comments either. Grrr. Ha.

Also wondering if the characters imported keep their skill levels from the DM game.
I'm sure I'll eventually reincarnate my DM friends into CSB,
but I don't seem to know how to get them to CSB in the first place.

Okay, so (going by memory as I've not done it in some years now) what you need to do is when you're at the CSB entrance doors, instead of clicking to enter the Prison, you click on the scroll down in the corner. This will give you several options, one of which is to import a party/saved game (one of the two) - from there you can see a list of your existing DM save files. Then just pick the one you made the latest (if you have more than one) and then I think that's it. You might get the option to edit your characters' portraits or that might be something that needs selecting separately if you want to do it, I can't remember. Either way, the characters from that save file will be imported into CSB with all their stats and skills but none of their items, and you should be dumped in the lovely dark room in the middle of CSB to start playing .

You need a saved game disk from either Dungeon Master or from the Chaos Strikes Back prison where you choose champions.
Then you need to boot the CSB Utility Disk (Atari ST or Amiga), open the Champion Editor, and load you saved game from there.
You may edit your champion portraits and when done, click "Make new adventure" to prepare a new CSB save disk.
Then you boot with the CSB Game Disk, click "Resume" and load this freshly created save disk.

I have never actually tried this but I did once transfer Hissssa from the end of DM into CSB in RTC with the extra monsters set at 20 and with a secondary objective of killing every monster that I saw. Getting out of the worm room was extremely hard; I hid in the corridor leading to the "Run and Jump" pit, only venturing out to kill worms until I needed to rest. I also war cried away any worms that approached whilst I was resting. Getting the Storm made life easier because I could then use the Chop attack rather than relying solely on magic. Some other areas were pretty hard such as the Dragon Den, the Slime Devil room below the pits in Neta and of course, the room full of demons before the Ful Ya pit. My usual CSB technique is to get the 4 keys from the paths then go up and get each Corbum from above the DDD. I haven't tried doing both parts of each quest one after the other (get key, get corbum, get key, get corbum etc).

I might give the reincarnated Tiggy straight to CSB thing a go one day.

Yeah I do the same thing regarding keys and corbums - do "Part One" of each of the Ways first to get the keys, then go to the DDD and work through three of the four routes to get to the corbum pillar (using the sneaky route to yoink...Dain, is it? By walking around the pillar on a fake pit from Ros or whatever). Then head up to finish the game.

I have just had a go at this. It was a lot easier than I thought to be honest. Tiggy had gained a few levels in all disciplines before leaving the starting area.

I only got killed once by the floating eyes near the start. Oh, and there was another time where I ran into my own fireball

The hardest part was fighting knights and golems, this was virtually impossible without several Ku potions. Most other monsters were dispatched with magic.

I didn't do the Ros <-> Ku thing to get the two corbums at once but I did manage to find all 4 Keys of B so was able to bypass a lot of the final level.

Oh nice, gratz. Also haha, yeah, I've done the run-into-the-back-of-your-own-Fireball thing a few times as well .

If you fought the worms and the floating eyes at the start with reincarnated Tiggy, you're certainly a lot braver than me.

In my reincarnated Tiggy run I simply ran straight to the fountain below supplies for the quick (picking up some stuff on the way including the flask) and did some training there before proceeding.
