I mentioned I was streaming in someone's twitch and someone found this https://displate.com/displate/1412254. I've never shopped there before but I've seen many sponsored streams that said I did order a glass(gloss) medium. I've had no luck finding anything else but very surprised to see this. Anyone ever check this out? I'll probably talk about the quality once it arrives.

Well it's not 'legal' in the sense that no-one who owns the copyright on that art would have given permission to sell it there. It's also pretty odd to have sliced off the bottom wedge of the picture. I would recommend you keep your money.

which conveniently removes the FTL logo from the picture...

Exactly. Not reputable at all. The only 'legal/official' version of this art that you could buy recently was when David Darrow issued new limited edition prints and sold them on eBay a few years ago. Sadly I missed out on that but found one on eBay being resold years later, which I bought. But it wasn't one of the new prints, it looks like someone had scanned it and printed a new version. It's too easy to be scammed these days even when you think something is genuine, so when something like an obvious scam turns up on displate, I would hope no-one falls for it.

I think it may have been upscaled using an AI tool as well, often these leave some artifacting in the images. Sometimes around the edges of characters you get another outline, which I can see on the zoomed in poster image.
