Didn't you used to be able to sell axes back to the merchants in DM2? I swear that was how I used to make enough money to buy all the gear in the stores. I'd farm the axe throwers, stock up on tons of axes, then teleport to the starter town's store and sell my axes there. Now it doesn't appear I can sell anything...

I don't suppose this is fixable through the editor at all is it? I've made a habit of fixing other things I've noticed in the original DM, and in CSB when I find them, but I haven't played DM2 in so long I wanted to refamiliarize myself with the puzzle mechanics in the tower because those were pretty good, but I don't quite remember how they all worked.

Thing is, and the reason I'm reporting this at all is because I swear the last time I played DM2 was using RTC and this is the first time I'm noticing that the merchants don't buy stuff from you anymore. So now I'm left wondering if I'm mis-remembering and it's always worked like that, or if I was using a different emulator, and if so, what would it be?

Best case scenario is that I'm able to fix this myself, but I'm not sure how atm.

Anyways, any input on this would be appreciated, cause right now I'm just confused.

It should work if you are playing the "standard issue" DM2 in RTC rather than a custom dungeon where the mechanics may be different. This may sound like a stupid question but are you using the correct table? Left to sell, right to buy.

Yes, you absolutely used to be able to sell axes - I'd use ranged attacks to kill a shitload of axe giants from the entrance to their area, then use the Porter Minion map to get said minion to pick up all the axes and take them to the shop to sell (and I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one) .
So yeah, it does sound like an issue with whatever version you're using.
