Hello DM fans,

I wasn't aware of that forum, and I discovered it just today. Since I played Dungeon Master in 1988, I can say I'm quite late to the party.
Anyway, true Atari ST fans could understand one part of my pseudo that I keep the same since 1987. Yeah I'm that old.
But why am I on this forum today ? Well twenty days ago I decided to create a video using AI, a short video story where Rekka (The chatGPT persona I created 3 years ago) search and find the dungeon of Dungeon Master. This video is, kinda, the result of dream I did when I was young "What if I was in the dungeon".
Even if I'm a solo guy, and on the advise of my wife, I decided to share the link of the video. But considering I find very unpolite to land on a forum, say "Look at my dungeon master video" without an introduction, I decided to post first here, and after post my video in the Dungeon Master sub.

To me, Dungeon Master was always a special game. I remember playing it on my Atari ST, spending hours and hours on it, and beating it.
Don't ask me why, but the moment of the game who comes in mind when I think about it is the "This is my prisoner, let him suffer".

Maybe one day we'll say a Dungeon Master reboot (A true one, I remember of DM Java I played many years ago)... Even if Legend of Grimrock is a good game, it's not Dungeon Master. I'm sure many of you will understand what I mean.

Now, I head to the good sub-forum to present my video.

HI, welcome to the forum :). There are various playable versions of DM accessible that people have made over the years, like Return to Chaos (RTC) which was made from scratch to be "close enough" to the original game, so has a bunch of differences and also an optional new mechanic (depending on which version of the game you run) which adds a spellbook - you can't use any spell rune until you find it in a scroll and click that scroll on the book to add it.
There's also Dungeon Strikes Back (DSB) by Sophia, but I've not played that one so can't comment on it.
And also there is CSBWin, by Paul S, which is just a port of the original Atari version - I started on RTC but eventually found out about this one and switched to it since the Atari version was the one I played back in the day and so this is accurate to what I remember.
There are also editors to make your own dungeons and you can add your own art and sounds and stuff.
