Anyone Playing Dark Abyss

I am replaying Dark Abyss and have reached a bit where I am stuck. I have gone through a port cullis type door on about the 4th level which was opened with lock picks and has closed behind me. In front of me is an alcove which reads SUB FIN DRA. I have gone up the stairs to a small place which has another alcove opposite reads ATU GZA. I have placed the puzzle box in this alcove which turns to ashes but produces an Ice Rapier in the alcove below. I have killed the rockpile which is miving around this level and that has dropped a coin. However, the door is still shut and I can see no way of re-opening it. Anyone who remembers this bit could you please help.

As i remember you should place something in alcove to open door, coin or rapier.
These all words can be translated and they are clues what to do.
