[RTC]THE MONSTER WAR!!! 2011[minigame]

Post by Partyoffour717 »

Mini-game Monsterwar-http://www.mediafire.com/?e0b80blh880rxyl#1
It was fun to me til it got just alittle repetitive... like the final fantasy series...
you all are free to play it all you want play til you want to delete it from the world :)

Re: [RTC]battle of the monster master demo

hmm..

not sure i understood what i needed to do? I like the music and the initial feel starts well but completed it in about 5 minutes - was that right?

Also - the first champion (mirrored picture doesn't relate to the charactors pic once selected).

Did i miss something or was this a really quick demo?

Same here. Found the
Spoiler
fake wall
straightaway and the demo ended. Didn't even get a chance to explore anything else. a 45MB download that doesn't do anything? I'm puzzled...

Demos should be interesting to get people excited about the main game. I'm sorry, but this is not interesting. Also, the music is both too loud and not setup correctly, so you can't even turn it off using the Music Volume control in the game. I think you've probably set these up as ambient sounds by mistake. Make sure you use the Music object for music.

You included the .TXT file with your download. I looked at it -- you have 11 MP3 files being loaded, 3 from Linkin Park, 3 from Halo and a few others. All sounds get saved in your RTC file when you compile it, so if you're not using them in your dungeon, you should remove them.

I still don't get it. Your demo has three corridors and nothing to do. Did you compile the wrong file, or is that really all there is to do?

I have to agree with RAF: it's void. Well, devoid of anything resembling interest. It's just really.... dull. I'm sorry, but it just doesn't contain anything that most players would want to play. You need to think more about a plot, puzzles, gameplay balance, etc.

I found this hard to get enthusiastic about, the story was strange and didn't like the way you seem to "jump" from locations to another point. I also ended the game in a few minutes by pulling a lever - not really sure what I did or why it ended - but needs some work on the story and the gameplay. for example, the first part with the numerous doors and mummys - I thought that it was an ok idea first time round with 3 doors - but when you have soo many it just became repetative.

Keep trying though - it's good to get a dungeon out there, not something I've had the time to do yet! But look at the others on the site and try and build on this one with the feedback. :)

Its probably a good idea to get someone to test it before you actually release it onto the forum. That way you will know if you have it right or wrong and you can rectify mistakes/gameplay.
