We need forum software that works properly on mobile!
Typing into phpBB with touchscreen keyboards is really crap. Often the keyboard obscures the text entry area entirely, and tapping back in the field to se it does crazy zooming that breaks the forum.
I really struggled to write this on my phone. I'll investigate phpBB to see if newer versions are better.

Yes, it is doable, but a bit painful. Certainly typing a long message would test your patience.

Re: Forum on Android Mobile
I'd say those 2 both look like excellent solutions, especially since both were/are developed specifically for phpbb, which is, I believe, the system this forum was built on. The 1st one looks great from the short write up, but looks like it's still in the developmental stages to there will likely be bugs, whereas the 2nd one doesn't look like it has as many features as the 1st one, but is finished so will likely be relatively bug free.

Re: Forum on Android Mobile
the addon looks as though it can make use of the already developed theme.. making sure all the work Gambit and Linflas did is maintained. Taptalk, to ME, looks ugly.. and to attempt to save it from that would be a fair bit of work..

Taptalk also does not look like it was designed for phpbb specifically, so who knows how smoothly it would integrate as well...
IMO the simplest integration would be one of the mobile options designed specifically for phpbb.

I'm no longer the technical admin here, but this is annoying me enough that I'll try and get some time this week to install one of these addons
