Thorn Demons dance on Bydlo
For those that are interested in DM2 musics, I should recommend you to learn a little about Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky.
He was a Russian composer of the 19th century, and is well known for "Pictures at an Exhibition" (Remember "The Great Gate of Kiev"?).

Well ... I am sure he could also have composed for DM2
Maybe you could try Bydlo:

and Gnomus:

I have updated links to remove broken links.

I'd have to agree.. I like classical music.. however the first is too airy and relaxed for DM I think.. except maybe the hall of champions.. but I think even that should have some mystery to it.. and well the second one.. it's too chaotic.. I'm also not fond of music in a dungeon that you need the volume up so you can hear monsters, to be so up and down in volume.. super soft and then BAM!!! loud.. and then soft... BAM!!! loud again.. good way to blow ear drums.. and the first one while it didn't do this exactly it steadlily get's louder and louder..
Just really not suited for gaming I think.. still nice music though

Ah .. Only Purple1 was in the good direction.. Surely these musics may not fit in the game, but it appears that some parts of PC DM2 musics directly come from the pieces of Mussorgsky, and it is very obvious when you listen to them.
To make clearer the thing, download the DM2 PC musics:

Compare dm2music16 (Thorn Demons) and Bydlo.
Compare dm2music13 with Gnomus.
Sounds more familiar now?

well to be quite honest I only really heard the music for DM2 amiga and it wasn't really suitable for it as far as I could tell.. I did hear the intro music for DM2 PC and that was nice.. and works for the intro.. dunno about the halls of DM.. I'm a much bigger fan of ambient atmosphere.. low on actual music notes.. it's more creepy..
