Haha Reno 911 is amazing.Ameena wrote:Since some of us are in a bit of DnD phase right now, me and my dad and my sister were earlier looking up a vid that we hadn't seen for a few years. I don't know if it's ever been linked on here but even if it already has, I might as well plonk it up for those who missed it the first time around...

Some American LARPer who takes his DnD a bit too seriously, I think.
It's only a couple of minutes long.

I'd just like to clarify before anyone around here gets any more bad ideas about Americans that this is from a fictional TV show, and this whole exchange was staged.Ameena wrote:Some American LARPer who takes his DnD a bit too seriously, I think.

I'm afraid that this fact can lead to even worse ideas about Americans.Sophia wrote:I'd just like to clarify before anyone around here gets any more bad ideas about Americans that this is from a fictional TV show, and this whole exchange was staged.
(Ooops, sorry, this is not an insult sword fight, sorry, sorry... )
Finally playing and immensely enjoying the awesome Thimbleweed Park-a-reno!

Highly addictive and somewhat DMish:

Beware. If you enjoyed building up the defences for your C&C base, you'll be hooked with this one. So don't go there in case you have a tight schedule. It's a time eater.

This game is really funny. A bizarre premise! I'm absolutely terrible at it, but I don't care, I love launching him into frosty spikes and down crevasses just to hear his screams!

It took me almost 30 seconds to figure out that I have to actually . I was just sitting at the screen and waiting for the movie to begin.

This video gives you some idea of the myriad dumb client requests that a designer will have to deal with in their career. Note: Includes lots of very rude words!

Well great... hopefully I will have my 'Foot in the Door' before having to deal with someone as moronic as this.Gambit37 wrote:This video gives you some idea of the myriad dumb client requests that a designer will have to deal with in their career. Note: Includes lots of very rude words!

TED is currently the best site on the Web, IMHO. I spend ages on there since I discovered it last year. Awesome and inspiring people with awesome and inspiring attitudes and ideas. This is what the human race can be...

Re: Cool stuff you've found on the web
'Can be' is the key phrase, I don't think highly of humans as a whole. There are the few with no power who have inspiring ideas and could change the world, and then there are the powerful who don't want it to change or are to greedy to care. Either way it's not going to matter when someone is stupid enough to fire the first bomb these days.Gambit37 wrote:TED is currently the best site on the Web, IMHO. Also, anyone here who speaks Austrian (or I suppose German would do - the languages are pretty close, aren't they?), any chance you could provide a translation of what the bloke says at the end? I only understood a few words. I'm curious to know what he says.

If you want to call that German... But yes, Austrians do speak German, there is no such language as Austrian (though they use some words that are non-existant in Germany).
