Moderators?

Post by cowsmanaut »

Hello Admins,

We need people to take over moderation of the subjects that are now missing them.

If you are interested just put your name in through the admin panel. There can be more than one.. in fact more than one is much preffered.

Oh, and has anyone contacted Ian.. is he already here under a Handle that I don't recognise? We need to give him access if he eventually plans to make the jump.

cheers

Actually, I think it might be good to have a few non-admins as moderators too, just for certain topics - clones and so on

Since really the current group of 'mods' are actually using their god-liek admin powers everywhere anyway : )

I vote that beowuuf moderates DMute (though he's an admin so it doesn't really matter). Most of the rest of us are admins anyway, so do we need moderators?

Yeah, i was going to say i don't mind any or all ofthe following:

News, Creative, DM, Other dungones. DMute

I know the moderator admin is somewhere, but couldn't see it rushing out this morning

I think the point of having 'moderators' is to just have a nice name to a forum, and possibly a good idea rather than having admins managing to get in each other's way - although for the moment we are well co-ordinated, and the big forums would have multiple moderators aaaaanyway

I would like to moderate the Games and Dungeons DM and/or CSB part, that is, if you do not have to possess vast knowledge about website-design and phbb forum maintanance (which I don't have) to be able to moderate it.

Lol, there we go I stuck myself on four..power! : ) I'll probably come off of most of them since i think two moderators is enough, and there are more cabable ones than me...,
So we have lunevar and amber nominating themslves too - I added them to the appropriate ones, yell if you think you are mis-placed : )

Note for moderators: you have a tiny section at the very bottom, almost lost amoungst the other statistics of who's online, that says in red 'you can moderate this forum'. Click on that and you get a list of options from delete to lock to move

yes, I don't mind regular/long time users getting the power of moderator. Just no newbies.

Andyboy, well I think we could probably put you into RTC editing due to your help with the creation of a well documneted dungeon creation guide.

Well, thanx!

So, besides being nominally moderator, having my name on top of the DM/CSB forums (which looks nice), are there any technical changes being a moderator I should know of, i.e. is there anything I can access/change/maintain now, I couldn't before? (Not that there is need for, just want to know).

Hmm, I live in Germany, but I think I'll stick to Asian cuisine, certainly so before resorting to bratwurst. But to be honest: There is almost no cuisine I wouldn't prefer before the English one (with the one and only exception of the lobster I got in Lynton), but lucky me I found there is a number of very exquisite Indian restaurants (like the Golden Curry in Salisbury) around in England.

Beowuuf: Only a doggy like you would consider eating wurst after is has been in a postal delievery... ;-)

hmm. we have MANY kinds of bratwurst, like frankfurter, thüringer or nürnberger (yummie!). i love them all :D
i just can't imagine how we did come to that topic

btw, i think an off-topic-forum would be a nice idea to chat about such things ;) were from many different countrys and would surely have more topics than DM to talk about :)
if you want me too, ill moderate it ;)

well, we had one and it and news got compressed into this one. News and discussions. So there you have it.. it's in exactly the right spot.
